​​​​​JOB: Scientist/Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist

         Multiple positions available across immunology and cardio-metabolic diseases.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, execute, analyze and interpret data and report results to supervisor, internal groups and senior management.

Required Experience

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology or Pharmacology with 4+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
  • Direct experience across a range of therapeutic areas (e.g., inflammatory bowel diseases, oncology, cardio-metabolic, liver diseases) and target tissues (e.g., intestine, liver, brain).
  • Experience with translational biology and/or early development of drug discovery programs.
  • Evidence of independent scientific aptitude and a strong track record of scientific accomplishment through publications, invited presentations and patents.

Required Skills

  • The ability to be innovative and creatively solve problems on schedule.
  • Expertise in state-of-the art in vitro functional assays and in vivo efficacy models that are highly translational and have an impact on throughput and performance.  Must have expertise in intestinal & liver physiology and/or immunology.
  • Expertise with cell culture, primary cell and tissue isolation techniques and assays.
  • Expertise with standard molecular techniques, ELISA systems, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, histology and FACS-based immune cell phenotyping.
  • Proficiency with various animal models across different therapeutic areas outlined above.
  • Proficient in drug administration routes (e.g., PO, IP, IV, SC) and surgical techniques (e.g., laparotomy, blood vessel cannulation, stereotaxy).
  • Expertise in data analysis software: MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word and GraphPad Prism.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills to clearly articulate complex concepts and strategies is a must.
  • Ability to manage external study activities through CROs and collaborators.
